WATCH: Russell Brand Shares the More He Prays “The More Coincidences Happen”

Famous actor and recent Christian convert Russell Brand has continuously shared his experiences of walking in his newfound faith in Jesus Christ. Brand recently took to X, posting a video discussing a phenomenon he has noticed the more he prays. According to the actor, the more time he spends talking to God, the more “coincidences” he has begun to see.

“Since I’ve become a Christian, I’ve been asked a lot about mentorship, and I’ve spoken to some very well known and popular and brilliant members of the Christian community. For example, Nikki Gumball has really helped me. I’m reading his Bible in one year, and Jay John has been fantastically helpful to me,” Brand began, noting the help he has received from spiritual mentors.

The celebrity then spoke about the coincidences that seem to be occurring at an increased frequency.  “Yesterday, we prayed about allowing Christ to knock on the door of your heart and saying, Christ, if you are there, I open the door of my heart to you. Today, when I looked at the Bible, it said the famous William Temple quote must always be considered that the more I pray, the more coincidences seem to happen. Coincidences are created by prayer, a kind of sacred synergy, you might call it,” he continued.

Brand noted an uncanny synchronicity he recently encountered where he had just been reflecting on the act of opening one’s heart to Christ.  Shortly after that, his wife gave him an anniversary gift, which appeared to be a wooden box, where two doors opened to reveal a cross with Jesus.

“So I was thinking about this idea of our Lord Jesus knocking on the door of my heart, because I feel like even though I’m Christian, there is, of course, more a yield, more selfishness, more territory within me to be yielded to him. And then today, on my anniversary, my wife gave me this gift. And as I opened the doors, I saw that coincidences happen more when I pray, what a great anniversary present from a great wife. How lucky I am to have these mentors. How lucky we all are to live, saved by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let me know if you have any questions, and let me know what coincidences, you’ve experienced. Let me know in the comments and chat in his name, I pray, amen,” he said.

The Christian Tribune recently reported on other comments from Brand pertaining to his walk with Christ, where he described how the Bible has become his “manual” for living.  “It helps me recognize that love is something I can be a vessel for. I can be choosing that my conduct is always up to the standard.  We live in this time in the world where people say all the time, ‘There’s no manual for living life.’ There is, and I don’t know why I assumed what was in this book without looking at it,” he said.
