In a recent service hosted on Zoom, controversial pastor Benny Hinn shared what he thinks the church should know for the upcoming year. Hinn says the church will grow in the year to come, especially in unexpected places. While his recent appearance was non-controversial, the Israeli-born pastor has been mired in scandal for the last 30 years.
He says, “This is the year where our hearts must be properly adjusted.” He added “This is going to be probably, in the church, the greatest move of growth we’ve seen. There’s going to be a growth among the remnants in the church we have not seen before.” Hinn specified which nations the church will grow in the next year.
“This is going to happen this year. It started already, but there’s going to be an intensity that hasn’t been seen before among young people especially. I’m talking about globally, especially in China,” says the pastor. “I sense that in my heart for this year that God Almighty is going to move gloriously in China, in Iran, in Turkey, in the Arab world, in Eastern Europe.”
Hinn continued to name where the revival will happen, “…such as Eastern Europe, such as the Arab world. Yeah, there’s been a move here and a move there in some parts like Egypt, Lebanon, and so on. But I think it’s going to spread incredibly. Mark my words, you’re going to hear reports happening inside Iraq, inside Syria. Inside parts of the Arab world we really haven’t heard much about,” says Hinn.
Critics have skewed the pastor for his lavish spending. Almost 20 years ago, he landed in hot water for demanding that his flock fund his excessive spending. He publicly asked for 6,000 of his “partners” to donate $1,000 each toward the down payment on a jet. He purchased Dove One, a Gulfstream G4SP at an estimated cost of $5 million with the help of donations.
Those who donated $1,000 or more get a scale model of Dove One and their names inscribed inside the plane, according to the pastor. There have been other allegations of financial impropriety. Benny Hinn justified the lavish expense by answering a call from God as expressed in Isaiah 6:8 “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
The pastor glibly answered the question by saying “Long ago I said, ‘I will go, Lord. Send me!‘ But I cannot do it without you, nor can I do all our wonderful Lord has called me to do without Dove One!” Hinn’s nephew bravely penned an expose where he described the absurd level of luxury at Hinn’s ministry. He chronicled his experience working for his uncle.
Watch Benny Hinn Give his Predictions Below:
The nephew wrote, “We lived in a 10,000-square-foot mansion guarded by a private gate, drove two Mercedes Benz vehicles, vacationed in exotic destinations, and shopped at the most expensive stores. On top of that, we bought a $2 million ocean-view home in Dana Point, California, where an other Benz joined the fleet. We were abundantly blessed.”
He described the year he worked for his organization as ” A whirlwind tour of luxury: $25,000-a-night royal suites in Dubai, seaside resorts in Greece, tours of the Swiss Alps, villas on Lake Como in Italy, basking on the golden coast of Australia, shopping sprees at Harrods in London, and numerous trips to Israel,…we flew on our own private Gulfstream, and I got to buy custom suits. ”
