Mark Wahlberg, appearing on Laura Ingraham’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News Channel to speak with guest host Raymond Arroyo, explained that he thinks all of his career success has come from his faith in God. According to Wahlberg, whatever he has and whatever he has been able to accomplish has come from the grace of the Lord above, a grace he wants to help introduce others to.

The interview kicked off with Arroyo asking him about Hallow, the daily prayer app he advertised during the Super Bowl. Responding, and explaining in his response why he thinks the app is so popular, Wahlberg said, “You know, look, there is there’s a thirst and a need and a desire to reconnect with people. And so for me, I get, I get commented about and approached about Hallow more than anything that I’ve done in my entire career.”

When asked why it is so popular, Wahlberg told him, “For me, it’s the most important part of my life. So I would imagine that people now are reconnecting you know, look, it’s amazing that on Ash Wednesday, and on Valentine’s Day on the same day, right, they have love and and the Lord’s day, we are now getting people to connect and love is the most important thing.”

Then, when Arroyo asked how he got involved in the prayer business, Wahlberg got to the point about all of his success coming from God. He told her, “I would have to attribute all of my success in my, personally and professionally to my faith. And so I always knew that, you know, I wasn’t this blessed and fortunate to forget about that or not give glory to God and give all the praise and to him.”

He continued, “So I figured I was constantly looking for ways to utilize the talents and gifts that he’s given me to do what he wants me to do with them. So far, the steel was really the catalyst for that, but it was, I thought, ‘Okay, I’ll do for others too.’ And then I’ll kind of go off and do my other movies. No, no, no, no, no, no. So I was I met Alex, who’s the founder of Hallo. And we started talking and then it was like, Okay, now this has become my mission. So just sending a message, a little a message every week about how important it is to stay prayed up and stay connected. And, you know, it’s been amazing.”

Later on in the interview, Arroyo asked Wahlberg about the importance of fasting during Lent. Responding, Wahlberg told him that it helps people let go of the distractions keeping them from God, saying, “For me, it’s important for very specific reasons. But I just think there’s a lot of things that are keeping people distracted and keeping people away from connecting with God.”

Continuing, he added, “And so just to, to take away those distractions for a little while and try to do a little bit more. But I think it’s also encouraging people to stay in a routine to stay a little bit more discipline, and through those things, I’ve had all my success. So I think it really makes sense that people give it a shot. I think routine is the key to success, being disciplined. And also, you know, being able to enjoy yourself and have fun and finding a balance. Yeah.”
