Social media users reacted with righteous outrage after a video circulating online captured a Minnesota church full of congregants worshipping in protest of ICE. The unnamed church is seen nearly full with many worshippers holding up heart signs and singing in defense of criminal illegal aliens whom the Trump administration is trying to detain and deport.
“Unbelievable,” wrote the caption to the reposted video. “A Minnesota church turned its worship service into a radical anti-ICE protest. They sang in a foreign language, waved “ICE Out” signs, and blended politics with prayer to shield illegal-alien criminals.”
Then, recognizing that this was not Christianity in the real sense but a mockery of faith, the post called the congregants’ false sense of virtue as ‘suicidal empathy’ and the ‘hijacking’ of the Gospel. “They turned God’s house into a platform for their far-left agenda. That’s not true faith; that’s suicidal empathy hijacking the Gospel to push an agenda that endangers Americans,” the post continued.
“Churches should be sanctuaries for worship and truth, not stages for communist-style “liberation” chants. We cannot let this corrupt our faith communities,” the post concluded. Watch the video below:
As seen in many churches across the nation, the notion of Jesus’ teachings to ‘Love Thy Neighbor’ has been weaponized against Christians easily persuaded by appeals to emotion and targeted propaganda. Amidst the idea of loving neighbors, it seems the truest neighbor among progressives is the newcomer and foreigner; the neighbor of old who is often the target of crimes by the former or the person often replaced by them does not count.
Minnesota churches have been in the news a lot lately, and it always seems to deal with radical activists. Whether in the sanctuary of a false church such as the one seen in the video or a real church invaded by agitators and the likes of Don Lemon, wherever leftists go so too does chaos.
Lemon, for his role in the storming of a Minnesota church under the pretense of the pastor being somehow affiliated with ICE, was recently arrested in the middle of the night by federal agents. He faces two counts of federal charges, though it remains to be seen if he’ll face any prison time for violating the FACE Act and obstructing a worship service.
The Christian Tribune previously wrote about that incident, pointing out that Democrats who resist ICE appear to be doing so in favor of violent criminal illegal aliens, which defies logic to most thinking Americans. What’s more, ICE has to conduct public raids because state and local leadership under Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey refuses to cooperate with federal agencies and laws. Instead of holding onto criminal aliens once in custody and notifying ICE, they release them back onto the streets.
Of the church, invasion, The Christian Tribune wrote: “Failed CNN anchor Don Lemon, whose ego has an inverse relationship with his importance, halted worship services after joining anti-ICE protestors into a Minneapolis church in one of the most disturbing episodes yet witnessed in the increasingly tense conflict between Americans who want the Trump administration to reverse decades of illegal immigration into the country and those who seemingly want even the most violent criminals to come and stay.”
