Further showing that the globalist elites are not interested in treating the Trump administration fairly, it now appears the Vatican wants to continue peddling woke, anti-America First influence from within the Roman Catholic Church. The latest attack came from Cardinal Robert McElroy, Pope Francis’ newest Archbishop of Washington, D.C.
In a stunning diatribe condemning Donald Trump’s immigration reform, which has included deportations of violent illegal criminals, including members and top leaders of the notorious MS-13 and Tren de Aguas gangs, McElroy derided these popular initiatives as little more than an evil “crusade.” The speech was delivered in front of the Jesuit Refugee Service organization, an entity, it’s worth noting, that received nearly 70% of its revenue – more than $24 million dollars – from U.S. taxpayers.
McElroy made the absurd claim that anyone supportive of the Trump agenda, indeed over half of all Americans who voted in November and who essentially elected him to clean up the border and immigration chaos engendered by his predecessor Joe Biden, is following their “darkest” impulses. “The pathway of crusade and mass deportation cannot be followed in conscience by those who call themselves disciples of Jesus Christ, and we must work to make sure that that does not happen,” he declared.
The entire speech was emotional blackmail designed to undermine the tangible results produced by Donald Trump and his administration. Americans voted for a more secure border, the removal of violent illegal criminals, and eventually the cessation of so much taxpayer money being reallocated for them through non-government organizations (NGOs) or direct welfare payments. Basically, you’re supposed to think you should work hard every day, pay taxes, and support millions of people financially despite barely being able to afford your own expenses.
“The suspension of Agency for International Development monies for humanitarian relief is Moral theft from the poorest and the most desperate men, women and children in our world today. It is unconscionable through any prism of Catholic thought, and thus we who are in the work of helping migrants and refugees, in this case, are merely in the work of helping humanity as it exists in suffering, to understand that giving less than 1% of our government’s budget to assist the most Desperate humanitarian needs of the world is our obligation as people of faith and as a nation,” McElroy said at one point of his woke tirade.
In another part, he rehashed what induces progressives to practice self-onanism by invoking a veiled impugnation of anti-immigrant sentiment as stemming from nothing more than racism. “We as a Christian white nation, are being undermined by a culture which is destroying the true American culture,” he said, pretending to speak for everyone in the America First movement.
Watch part of his wild speech below:
Attacking America First in just a dishonest framing of the immigrant debate is nothing new for the woke leadership of the Catholic Church. In a letter dated February 10th of this year and directed to all of the Catholic bishops of America, the Vatican-ensconced – behind think walls and heavy guard, no less – Pope Francis exhorted his minions to basically defy the America First narrative and out up with tens of million of illegals.
The Pope urged whom he calls “men and women of good will” – in a despicable effort to moralize the conflict so that people who want America to be for Americans are portrayed as scum – to reject Trump’s growing movement. “I exhort all the faithful of the Catholic Church, and all men and women of good will, not to give in to narratives that discriminate against and cause unnecessary suffering to our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters. With charity and clarity we are all called to live in solidarity and fraternity, to build bridges that bring us ever closer together, to avoid walls of ignominy and to learn to give our lives as Jesus Christ gave his for the salvation of all.”
