Freshman congressman Brandon Gill delivered a resounding rebuke to Democrats’ blind eye to billions of dollars in immigrant and refugee fraud at the expense of hardworking, taxpaying Americans. An exchange illuminating the divide between Americans and Democrats came during a hearing for the House Oversight Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses.
For context, Representative Gill (R-TX) has been one of the loudest voices in Congress demanding answers and accountability, as well as reforms, to wealth redistribution programs that have enabled Somali migrants to run vast criminal enterprises and steal tens of billions of dollars from American taxpayers. Chairing the recent Task Force hearing, he cornered a woke state senator on Ohio’s influx of both Somalis and fraud abuses.
“Senator Antonio, thank you for being here. Has Somali immigration been good for Ohio?” he bluntly asked her in a now-viral clip. After she dodged, somehow suggesting that having an opinion on the people living in her state was “outside of her purview,” Gill asked an even more pointed question wondering if she would “like to see more immigration from Somalia?”
Incredibly, the theatrical Democrat pretended that even having to ponder such a question brought her to tears, as if asking what the ethnic and religious makeup of America has been and should remain was out of bounds. “I’m processing your question, and I’m, I have to say that I was almost brought to tears just now,” she exclaimed.
The two then proceeded to talk over each other, with the woke state senator rambling about the bigotry and hatefulness of asking about Somali criminal gangs and migrant fraudsters, then demanding some empathy and humanity for them – and disregarding any empathy and humanity for their heritage American victims.
“The rate and the level of hateful rhetoric based on false information is shocking. It is shocking to me the lack of humanity to group a group of people together. I am shocked and appalled. Because in every community there are good people and bad people. But to try to say that every single member of a group is somehow a criminal is shocking to me. I am shocked and appalled,” she shrieked in theatrical outrage.
“72% of Somali immigrants are on welfare,” Congressman Gill observed, again highlighting the fact that migrants from Somalia are in essence living for free in America while citizens work to provide for both themselves and the fraudsters.
“You’re defrauding your state at an astounding rate. And I think most Ohioans would have a problem with that…I thin it’s inhumane to allow your own state to be defrauded at astounding rate going millions of dollars taken out of the pockets of working class people going to criminal fraudsters. I certainly have a major problem with that and I think most Americans would agree,” Gill finished, before the clock ran out.
