Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) went off the rails during an appearance on the rebranded MSNOW network, formerly MSNBC, where she hypothetically accused Republicans of detaining and deporting Baby Jesus because of their supposed racist, anti-immigrant views. The segment was barely seen on the woke cable news network but gained significant traction online as conservatives pounced on the idiocy coming from one of the loudest and always-incorrect Democrat mouthpieces.
For context, Crockett was speaking about Donald Trump’s ramped up efforts to detain illegal aliens in the United States. The Trump administration has largely been seen as following through on a campaign promise to enforce both the nation’s borders and immigration laws. Recently, the administration boasted of zero new releases into the country along the southern border and has announced efforts to triple the number of agents available to support deportation efforts.
Whereas Barack Obama deported 650,000 illegals in one year in his administration – eliciting silence when it happened – and Trump has barely cracked 500,000, that hasn’t stopped the shrieking, woke left from pinning every single deportation on their favorite boogeyman of racism and xenophobia. Crockett specifically tied her absurd comments about the Baby Jesus to the tired kids-in-cages narrative, another holdover from the Obama regime, suggesting that kids being monitored for appropriate parentage before being released into the country with adults amounted to an atrocity.
Crockett’s entire comments are a giant exercise in folly. She began by suggesting that the pro-life party was hypocritical for wanting to prevent abortion but seemingly had no problem detaining kids. Of course, there is nothing remotely wrong with wanting to protect the unborn and ensuring kids weren’t released with random adults interested in trafficking them instead of raising them. This line of thinking is entirely compatible, but for Crockett and the TDS-suffering woke left their brains can’t comprehend it.
“I just want to be clear, this is the party that says that, you know, they care so much about life,” the woke Texas Democrat begins in the segment, “until life actually shows up at their front door.” Crocket then tried to frame the vetting of adults with kids as some sort of awful practice, hinting at how conservative Christians would have mistreated Jesus. “And this is also the party that supposedly is about Christianity, and I just imagine what they would have done to a little baby Jesus. But that’s a whole other issue.”
Crockett naturally doesn’t expand on that thought. Does she think Jesus would have been separated from Joseph and Mary, and if so, why? Would they have deported Jesus if he tried coming to America? Does she think Jesus would have snuck across the border and committed crimes at a higher rate or abused the welfare system at a higher rate?
She finished by saying: “You know, it is really so heartbreaking. We know that under the prior Trump administration, it was the children in cages. So for me, expecting them to do better by children was not one of the things that was on my bingo card.” Watch the absurd moment below:
