Though famously agnostic, comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan appears to be at least considering Christianity now, as shown by his comments about Jesus coming back. In fact, he’s even enough removed from his previous position that, during a recent interview, famous rocker Kid Rock asked Rogan if he’d like to get to know Jesus Christ.
That came in late February, 2024, when Rock appeared on Rogan’s program and Rogan asked Rock what time he would go back to if he could travel in time to visit someone. Kid Rock, answering without hesitation, told Rogan “Jesus.”
Rogan showed his skepticism about religion, particularly Christianity, asking Rock, “What if there was nobody there?” Rock misunderstood the question, thinking that Rogan was asking how he would feel if there was no crowd of followers around Jesus. He said, “Even better—I get him all to myself. Just me and Jesus!”
Rogan clarified his question and reasked it. “No, I mean what if Jesus wasn’t there?” Rogan clarified in response to Rock’s confused answer. The country rocker quickly shot back, “He’d be there.” He then told Rogan that he “absolutely, 1000%” believes Jesus is real and the son of God. Rogan, still skeptical, asked, “What makes you convinced?”
Not missing a beat, Rock told him, “My faith.” Rogan accepted that answer, telling him, “That’s a good answer.” He then explained his own skepticism of the Bible and Christianity because of some fuzziness about when parts of the Bible were written, saying, “I always wonder when people are telling stories, though. Like, how long does it story take before people wrote it down? How many times did people alter it just like they do with everything today?”
Rogan added that he fears lies could have found their way into the Scripture, saying, “I gotta imagine that at certain point in time, in history, they probably didn’t tell the truth about a lot of things. And we take those things and tell them through oral traditions.”
They then continued on the track of talking about Christ. Rogan pressed Rock on his faith, asking, “So you think the real truth was that he actually was the Son of God?” Rock again answered without a bit of doubt, saying, “Yes.” Rogan drifted a bit away from his usual skepticism, saying, “It’d be amazing if it was true.” Rock, reminding him that it is true, said, “It is amazing.” Rogan told him, “I believe you. I believe that you believe that.”
Rock wasn’t content to leave it there. Asking Rogan if he’d like to get to “know Jesus,” he offered to get his pastor, Paula White, to come on The Joe Rogan Experience and talk about Christ. White is the spiritual advisor to former President Donald Trump as well. Rogan, sadly, demurred.

Speaking about religion earlier in February, Rogan said, “I think as time rolls on, people are going to understand the need to have some sort of divine structure to things, some sort of belief in the sanctity of love and of truth, and a lot of that comes from a religion.”
